Even if you are not a mechanic, there are a few basic things that you should check when your Wildfire scooter first arrives.  When your scooter is delivered, the first thing you want to do is change out all the fluids, including engine oil, brake fluid, gearbox oil, and coolant.  This is a good idea just so you are sure that the levels are proper and the machine has good quality fluids running through it.  Also check the fuel lines and vacuum lines to make sure they are of good quality.  Some of the most common things you should check on your new moped or scooter are the electric elements.  First off, if the battery is a generic brand, it might very well be worth it to replace it with a high quality brand, just to save yourself some headaches.  Next, double check all your electrical connections to make sure there are no broken wires or questionable contacts.  Finally, check to make sure that the nuts and bolts are tight and in good form.  Doing these things will save you a lot of headaches in the long run.

As with  most other scooter brands, if you happen to have a manual transmission, your left hand or foot controls the clutch to switch gears, while the right hand controls the brakes.  Your left hand or foot may also be responsible for other controls such as switching the lights on, or activating signal lamps.

We highly recommend locating a local scooter or moped shop for support, as they can help you out with your vehicle if you do not know the ins and outs of your new machine yet.  They should be able to fix common problems and can sometimes be a resource for Wildfire scooter parts, which will save you on shipping costs.  However, keep in mind that Wildfire is known for having no problems when ordering replacement parts.
